WHY SHOULD I & MY CHILDREN SHOULD LEARN CaLiGrApHY?

Steve job, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, on June 12, 2005, said, “If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college.”

A Beautiful Handwriting means you’ve spent much time with patience & hard work, prefer  artistic look, different types of handwriting fonts means Creative works, and never ending profession even as tutor. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be defined as “the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner”. Writing habits starts with enjoying with art, design, strokes. In the good old days handwriting was a craft.

Handwriting Experts (also referred to as forensic handwriting experts or document examiners) can compare a piece of handwriting, whose author is unknown or is in dispute, with specimen handwriting samples from a particular individual suspected of writing it. Your handwriting is your signature, it defines who you are. Graphology – the study of handwriting and handwriting analysis – is now an accepted and increasingly used technique for assessment of people in organizations. Handwriting analysis is an effective and reliable indicator of personality and behaviour, and so is a useful tool for many organizational processes, for example: recruitment, interviewing and selection, team-building, counselling, and career-planning. Elaine describes graphology is ‘brainwriting‘ – the handwriting comes directly from the writer in a uniquely personal and individual way, irrespective of how the person has been taught to write: an expert graphologist understands the styles of the different countries and languages and makes allowances for ‘taught’ influences. A person’s handwriting – the script – and its placing on the page express the unique impulses of the individual: logically, the brain sends signals along the muscles to the writing implement they control.

Calligraphy is the beautiful art in itself. It is more like the drawing with letters than the handwriting. Most of the people actually hire calligraphers and spend a huge amount. But there is no need to do it when you can learn it yourself. There are plenty of advantages of learning this art of handwriting. You don’t actually need a reason to learn calligraphy other than “because I want to”. Calligraphy is also something you can learn at any age without any restrictions. It is also known as the visual art of writing. It’s a set of skills and techniques for positioning and inscribing words so they show integrity, harmony, some sort of ancestry, rhythm and leaves a charismatic impression on whoever sees it.

According to a white paper released by the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation researchers have found that:

HANDWRITING AND HUMAN PERSONALITY TRAITS

  • People who write letters close together are intrusive and crowd others
  • Illegible signatures mean a person is private and difficult to understand
  • Words or sentences that vary to the rest of the text suggest it is a lie
  • Schizophrenia and high blood pressure can also be identified from writing

According to the National Pen Company, the size of someone's handwriting can determine the type of personality they have.People who place heavy pressure on the pen when they write, which can cause darker, thicker handwriting, are good with commitment and taking things seriously but don't respond well to criticism.People who leave large gaps between words enjoy their freedom and don't like to be crowded, while people who write words close together can't stand to be alone and might be intrusiveIf someone writes quickly they are impatient and dislike delays or time wasters, and slower writers are more methodical and self reliant.The type of looping created by the letters 'l' and 'e' can suggest a person's nature, for example, wide loops means someone is relaxed and spontaneous as well as open minded.Illegible signatures, left, are a sign that the writer is private and hard to read.
