Willingness (310):

Optimism runs high here. At Willingness, the individual is open to do anything and everything – he/she is not bounded by others’ judgments or limitations. For example, he/she is willing to take on menial jobs if he/she cannot get jobs elsewhere. The difference between Willingness and the levels below it is that at Willingness, one is passionate about doing things well rather than just doing things. Someone at Willingness can readily bounce back from setbacks, is easily moldable, and is genuinely open to everyone. Success follows them easily.

The process one undergoes here is of intention (to do anything). The life view is hopefulness. At this level you have people who perform extremely well in their careers in corporations, startups; however, as they develop great skills, the question comes to whether they are investing their energy in the best way.

Change is difficult. If we are discontent with life and seek more honest experiences, we must embrace change on all levels.  your willingness to change is measured by your ability to adapt to change. You should wrestle with your own unwholesome acts. Confront the dark parts of yourself and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Pure love is a willingness to give without a thought of receiving anything in return. All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: it was the essence willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their people in their time. Willingness is essential in any initiation or in making any dream come true. ‘I can’t’ often means ‘I won’t. You can change ‘I won’t’ to ‘I will with will power.’ Will power be the key to success? Successful people strive no matter what they feel by applying their will to overcome apathy, doubt or fear. Will is the character in action. Will power is an art of replacing one habit for another better. We are a product of the choices we make, not the circumstances that we face. Procrastination is the thief of time.

The willingness to change allows us to see new things that often go ignored. We begin to accept ideas that help us to grow in ways that most others would pass by, simply because these ideas aren’t conventionally accepted. The willingness to change, grow, and allow new beliefs into our lives allows us to break our old patterns and see things with a fresh light. If you want to change, the simplest way to do that is to stop doing the things you used to do before. The degree to which we will experience positive, powerful growth in our lives is directly proportional to the degree to which we allow ourselves to open up to new ideas. Your brain, your mind, and your body will work with you and display to you all of the powerful things that exist outside of yourself. Right now, we are blinded to the things that we don’t allow ourselves to see. We are literally surrounded with opportunity; all it takes is the right mindset and the right set of eyes to see it. To develop willingness, the secret is finding your passion and purpose.

How to do a Willingness and Action plan: Trot out the answers to the following questions:

My goal is to…

  • The values underlying my goal are…
  • The thoughts, feelings, sensations and urges I’m willing to have in order to achieve this goal are…
  • It would be useful to remind myself that…
  • I can break this goal down into smaller steps, such as…
  • The smallest, easiest step I can begin with is…
  • The time, day, and date that I will take that first step is…

Be willing to be a beginner every single morning. The ultimate test of one’s conscience may be willingness to sacrifice something today for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard. Willing is an attitude and spirit of cooperation that should permeate our conversations. Right a It’s like a palm tree by the ocean that endures the greatest winds because it knows how to gracefully bend. Listen with the will to learn. Passionate people have the ‘will’. If you are willing to be a self-learner, you will develop yourself. The choice to lead is nurtured by the willingness to rise above challenges of life. Willpower isn’t something that gets handed out to some and not to others. It is a skill you can develop through understanding and practice. People who are ready to learn are those who will be the best to lead in near future. You don’t always need money to help someone, rather you need the willingness to help. Where there is a will, there’s a way. Will has its inherent power, but you need to develop a will. Willpower is like a muscle: The more you train it. The stronger it gets. People do not lack strength; they lack will. It’s not that some people have the willpower and some don’t. It’s that some people are ready to change and others are not.

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. Willpower is not genetic. It requires the will to resist, and the power of a resolved mind. Everything is generated through your own will power. Willpower is the key to success. Successful people strive no matter what they feel by applying their will to overcome apathy, doubt or fear. Willpower and desire, when properly combined, make an irresistible pair. Willpower knows no obstacles. Find your greatness. Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. Willpower is the basis of perseverance.

Proper visualization by the exercise of concentration and willpower enables us to materialize thoughts, not only as dreams or visions in the mental realm but also as experiences in the material realm Great ones have wills; feeble ones have only wished. If we cannot do what we will, we must will what we can. When the will is ready the feet are light? Willpower is the foundation of all human achievement. Willpower is more important than IQ. Nothing is easy to the unwilling. In the absence of willpower, the most complete collection of virtues and talents is wholly worthless. In order to have the willpower and motivation needed to be consistent with the amount of effort you exert for productivity, you must limit or eliminate counterproductive habits while enforcing new habits that help productivity.

Prayer exercises your will power. With motivation you get willpower, and with the strength of willpower you get power to work hard (emotional intelligence develops). One is never born great, it is the willpower and the action, that make one great or low.  Willpower is persistence and perseverance set into motion. The most important thing in life is to stop saying ‘I wish’ and start saying ‘I will.’ Willpower is trying very hard not to do something you want to do very much. Willpower is our decision to use higher-mind thinking instead of lazing around in the clutches of our primal mind. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willingness is not enough; we must do.
